There is value in letting others know how they’ve impacted us in profound and positive ways. It can act as a catalyst for them to clear up any judgment that they or others have misplaced on an aspect of themselves or on something they’ve done in the past.
Hurting someone with our hands doesn’t justify cutting them off. Hands can inflict pain, but they can also heal and create objects of beauty. Having a certain type of personality may not be popular with a certain group of people but it doesn’t make it wrong or ugly.
There is someone, somewhere who needs exactly what we can offer – what we keep hidden.
There is a need to clear these judgments to become whole again. Otherwise, we’ll be going through life half-alive, half-happy, half-abundant. We’re also depriving the world of all the grace we can offer.
